Anniversary Character Drawing

Today is the one-year anniversary of this blog, so I thought I’d mark the occasion with the reveal of a drawing I did this past weekend of a character in my upcoming fantasy.

Her name is Rayne Chariton, and she’s an elf from Allamay. There will be more about the world my epic fantasy takes place in later, but for now, Rayne has plenty of things left to do before the first draft is finished! Though she’s not my main character, she is integral to the story and it cannot move forward without her help. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters.

For anyone who is interested in the technical side of the art, it is mixed media with ink, pens, colored pencil, and watercolor. (I walked around the art store way too long drooling over everything!)
