Clarissa was crouched against the wall, huddled into as small of a ball as she could be. Her body shook uncontrollably.
There was a person standing on the other side of the room watching her.
She only caught a glimpse of the dark, shadowy figure with the glowing red eyes before she covered her face with her hands and screamed.
Was the figure still there?
She couldn’t look. If she looked, the figure might still be there, or worse – it might come at her.
“Clarissa?” came Harrison’s voice from behind the door. “Honey, get away from the door. Okay? Can you hear me?”
Her voice was caught in her throat. It felt so dry, like sandpaper. She could barely make a sound.
“Y-yes!” she finally cried out. “Hurry! Please, hurry!”
There was a long, excruciating pause, and then the door shook with a boom.
I’m in the middle of moving to the country for the fall and winter season, but I am hard at work on the third episode of the series. I have some very creepy things planned, so I hope to update in the near future with the cover for Episode Three.
